Thanks to the contribution of the Ministry of Economic Development through ICE-Agency, the first International Restoration Week will take place from 15 to 21 September at the Ferrara Restoration Exhibition.

Opportunity in which 50 technicians and exponents of the international restoration sector will be visiting Italy to take part in a traveling workshop that will start from Milan, will pass in Bergamo, Verona, Ferrara and will end in Venice.

Moment in which the delegates will meet the Italian companies at their open yards and during the conferences organized throughout the week.

International Restoration Conference:
"The meaning and marketing of restoration in Italy and target Countries: an overview" (HERE the program)


Restoration Week includes an international restoration workshop that starts in Milan on Monday 16th September and then continues in Bergamo; it will arrive in Ferrara for the International Restoration, Museums and Cultural Enterprises Exhibition and will end in Venice. A rich and intense week in which the 50 international experts of the sector, from 20 nations, will have the opportunity to meet, learn about and deepen the techniques and methodologies of Italian restoration directly in the active work sites Assorestauro's associated companies.The idea of the workshop, which Assorestauro organizes in collaboration with ICE-Agency annually since 2007, stems from the desire to create a direct relationship between Italian companies, institutions and foreign experts, to establish new collaborations and export the know-how of our sector in the host countries, promoting the start of international collaborations and projects.

On Monday 16th September at The Sforzesco Castle in Milan (10:00 a.m.) will be the opening conference of Restoration Week. Occasion when the launch of the APT – European Chapter, a new experience of European network that will collect the most important voices of the restoration and enhancement of cultural heritage. The president of APT (Association of Preservation Technologies) – an association of thousands of professionals in North America, will proclaim the birth of the European Chapter, a vehicle to create a unique industrial association in Europe that collects souls institutional and professional relations that revolve around the restoration sector, facilitating the exchange between the participating countries that, from a geographical point of view, go as far as Turkey and Russia.

On Wednesday 18th September, the opening of the International Restoration Show, Museums and Cultural Enterprises will be presented at the stand Ministry of Economic Development organized with ICE-Agency and Assorestauro. In the same occasion will be presented the first promotional video of the Restoration Made in Italy. The restoration sector works in the rear to make usable the immense and unique historical heritage that connotes our country. Today more than ever, with a technological evolution and industrial organization, the restoration sector is emerging as a production sector capable of facing international challenges.

On the afternoon of Wednesday 18th and Thursday 19th, the 50 international experts will have the opportunity to meet the Italian companies interested in B2B meetings organized specifically at the institutional area.

The moment of synthesis of Restoration Week will be the international conference to be held on Thursday 19th at the Salon. A conference in which the meaning of the term "restoration" will be exposed in the different meanings by the invited countries and the possible synergies that can lead our excellence to dialogue as a protagonist in the world.
