Prospective partnerships between the two countries in the sector of restoration


Assorestauro joined the Business Mission to Cuba early in July, aimed at studying the actual opportunities for prospective parnerships between the two countries in the sector of restoration. During the mission, which involved 4 member companies of Assorestauro, the Ministries of Economy and some Cuban state-owned companies presented the main plans for investments in Cuba in the next years. The participants had the chance to attend a ceremony of official presentation of the restored sketches drawn by the Italian architect Angelo Zanelli before the Director of Oficina de lā€™Historiador Mr. Eusebio Leal, the Vice-Minister for Economic Development Mr. Carlo Calenda, the Under-Secretary for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Mr. Mario Giro, the Italian Ambassador in Cuba Mr. Carmine Robustelli and MIBACT representative Ms. Eleonora Farraro. During their stay in Cuba, Assorestauro delegates visited the Monastery of Santa Teresa in La Habana Vieja, which is being restored by the designers and  staff of Oficina del Historiador.
