A recent success case history for IBIX was the Ca’ Brutta restoration work in Milan. IBIX technologies and, in particular, the HELIX vortex system, removed patinas that had altered the colors of the facades. IBIX Art – fine almandine – was used as cleaning media with sprayed water. In particular, an ocher repainting dating back to the 70’s was treated. IBIX proposed a scientific approach to cleaning, a method which can determine the best treatment solution, i.e. a method allowing the best ratio between cleaning and respect for the treated substrate. This approach to conservation work already obtained important acknowledgments in Italy and in the world and was used in the restoration of some of the most important international monuments: Capitol Hill, Eiffel Tower, Trevi Fountain, just to mention a few.
