Graphite is an Italian architecture and design studio based in Naples, Italy. Since 1946, when it was first established as a part of Archivolti group, Graphite has been known for professionalism, quality of works and deep knowledge of construction materials and techniques.
Started by experienced engineer Giuseppe Archivolti, the company continues to operate under the wise management of his son Raffaele. Graphite is closely connected to the city of Naples, its history and architecture. There are many buildings here that have been engineered, built or restored by Graphite’s team of architectural designers, technicians and experienced workers.

One of the most important projects of enormous historical-artistic value was restoration of Capodimonte Palace. Built in the XVIII century, the building challenged with difficulties in adapting modern safety standards and regulations. Due to the effort of professional team, the palace is now a safe and comfortable place for both employees and visitors. The works that had been carried out included replacing the old pipe system with the new one, customizing the door of the exhibition room, designing them to handle large pieces of art and paintings. In total, there were 126 rooms restored and adapted to the modern needs of the museum.

Another significant building in the list of accomplishments is San Carlo Theater, where different parts of decorations, stucco and plaster works were restored.  Dating back to the XVIII century, the theater has impressive inner rooms, the ballroom and monumental staircases. Graphite worked with each of them and restored their former beauty for the next generations to admire.

Nicola Amore square as it appears today is also a result of the delicate restoration works performed by Graphite. The company dealt with degrading statues, cornices and stucco facades of one of the four Renaissance palaces located in the square and successfully solved the issues.

Currently, Graphite is working on a project of Galleria Umberto I, the symbol of “belle epoque” of Naples. This magnificent gallery is in urgent need of restoring its beautiful statues and stuccos that have been falling apart for the last couple of decades. Previously, Graphite had worked with renovation of inner premises of the gallery, such as Sephora and Timberland retail stores.

Mirelli palace is another object that Graphite is currently working with. Situated in the heart of the historic center of Naples, this building requires consolidation works. Using epoxy resins and carbon, Graphite is employing latest restoration techniques to bring this building back to life.  The restoration includes working with decorative stone elements dating back to the XVII century.
